Marianne is passionate about the performing arts and enjoys using her musical, dramatic and dance skills to inspire audiences, participants and performers in her professional work.

Marianne grew up in Mount Isa, Australia, with parents and teachers who nurtured her love of the arts. She studied flute, piano, drama and ballet and sang in choirs and musicals during her school years. 

Marianne has an Honours Degree in Music from University of Melbourne and a Drama Degree and Teaching Diploma from QUT. Marianne has led a varied career as singer, actor, choral conductor, lecturer, adjudicator and teacher across three continents.


Marianne has performed as a singer/actor with VSO, La Boite Theatre Co, Qld Arts Council, as a professional soloist in France, the UAE and Australia and as a chorister in leading chamber choirs in Brisbane, Strasbourg, Alsace and Germany.

Marianne is a sought after choral director, working with children's and adult choirs and gives inspirational workshops to schools, businesses and community groups in choral music, singing, drama, team building and communication. Marianne currently conducts Senior Ensembles at Haileybury College and Blackburn High School in Melbourne.

Since 2015 Marianne has been President of the Australian National Choral Association (ANCA)’s Victoria/Tasmania division. In 2017 she has been engaged to adjudicate Eisteddfodau in Victoria and Queensland, perform as a soloist and with Grace Notes, and present choral and conducting workshops, including for ANCA.

Marianne enjoys the power of the human voice to move performers and audience alike. Her philosophy is to strive for excellence and to encourage others to do the same.
